FSR 80 sim racing chassis logo

FSR 80 Aluminum Sim Racing Chassis

The FSR 80 is a compact aluminum profile sim racing chassis designed and manufactured in Southern California for drivers who want a rigid, adjustable, and upgradeable cockpit without the larger profile of a premium heavy-duty chassis.

Built from 40x80 black anodized aluminum extrusion, the FSR 80 provides a strong foundation for modern direct drive wheelbases, performance pedal systems, and essential simulator accessories. Its compact design makes it well suited for home racing setups while retaining the modularity and adjustability expected from an aluminum profile cockpit.

The FSR 80 uses the same precision-drilled construction philosophy found throughout the Focus Sim Racing chassis lineup. CNC-drilled extrusion, laser-cut steel components, proprietary cup washers, and ball-bearing T-nuts create a clean and rigid platform without relying on excessive external brackets.

Designed for Modern Sim Racing Hardware

The FSR 80 is engineered to support a wide range of sim racing equipment, including compatible direct drive and belt-driven wheelbases, load-cell pedals, shifters, handbrakes, button boxes, and other simulator accessories.

Its 40x80 aluminum profile construction helps reduce unwanted movement under steering and braking loads while maintaining the adjustment range needed to create a comfortable and repeatable driving position.

Wheelbase and pedal compatibility depends on the mounting pattern and hardware selected. If you are unsure whether your equipment is compatible, contact Focus Sim Racing before ordering and we will help confirm the proper setup.

Precision-Drilled Frame Construction

The FSR 80 uses CNC-drilled mounting points throughout the main frame so major chassis components can bolt directly through the aluminum extrusion using proprietary cup washer hardware.

This construction method reduces the number of visible external corner brackets commonly found on generic aluminum profile rigs. Brackets are retained only where additional reinforcement is beneficial, including the rear crossmember.

The result is a cleaner and more integrated chassis structure that maintains the strength, adjustability, and modularity of an aluminum profile system.

Universal Steel Wheelbase Deck

The FSR 80 includes a laser-cut steel universal wheelbase deck with slotted mounting points for flexible positioning. Its rigid steel construction provides a secure mounting surface for many popular bottom-mounted wheelbases.

  • Laser-cut steel construction
  • Slotted mounting pattern for fore-and-aft positioning
  • Compatible with many popular bottom-mounted wheelbases
  • Designed for direct drive and belt-driven sim racing systems

Compatibility varies by wheelbase model and mounting pattern. Additional drilling or a separate mounting solution may be required for unsupported wheelbases.

Purpose-Built Pedal Mounting System

The FSR 80 uses laser-cut steel pedal risers designed to create a stable braking platform while allowing the pedal position and height to be adjusted around the driver and pedal system.

Indexed adjustment slots provide quick and repeatable height changes, while included ball-bearing T-nuts allow the pedal assembly to slide smoothly along the chassis during setup.

Compact and Upgradeable

The FSR 80 is designed for sim racers who want the strength and adjustability of an aluminum profile cockpit in a more space-efficient platform.

Its standard T-slot construction allows the chassis to support compatible shifter mounts, handbrake mounts, keyboard and mouse accessories, monitor solutions, electronics management components, PC shelves, and other simulator upgrades.

Whether you are building your first dedicated simulator or upgrading from a folding or tubular cockpit, the FSR 80 provides a modular foundation that can evolve alongside your hardware.
