Product Finish & Cosmetic Variations

Product Finish & Cosmetic Variations

Focus Sim Racing products are built for performance, durability, and long-term use. Many of our chassis, mounts, brackets, and accessories are manufactured from industrial aluminum extrusion, CNC-machined aluminum, laser-cut steel, and powder-coated metal components.

Because of the way these materials are manufactured, machined, handled, coated, packaged, and shipped, minor cosmetic variations may occasionally be present when a product is received.

What You May Notice

Minor cosmetic characteristics may include:

  • Light scratches or handling marks
  • Small surface scuffs
  • Minor anodizing or color variations
  • Machining marks on CNC-produced components
  • Small powder-coat imperfections
  • Minor marks near cut edges, mounting points, or hardware locations

These characteristics are cosmetic only and do not affect the fit, function, durability, safety, or structural integrity of the product.

Industrial Aluminum Extrusion

Aluminum T-slot extrusion is an industrial material designed primarily for structural use. Extrusion can develop light surface marks during manufacturing, cutting, storage, handling, assembly, or transportation.

Black anodized extrusion may make small marks more visible under certain lighting conditions. These minor variations are normal and are not considered structural defects.

Powder-Coated and Machined Components

Laser-cut, bent, CNC-machined, and powder-coated parts may also show small finish variations. Areas around bends, edges, mounting holes, fasteners, or contact surfaces may show minor marks resulting from the manufacturing or assembly process.

Components may also contact other parts during final assembly, packaging, or shipping, which can result in small cosmetic marks that do not affect performance.

Our Quality Standard

Every Focus Sim Racing product is inspected for proper fit, function, and structural condition before it leaves our facility. Products with damage that affects installation, safety, or normal operation are not considered acceptable.

Minor cosmetic variations that do not affect the product’s use are considered normal for industrial aluminum and fabricated metal components.

Received Something You Are Concerned About?

If you receive a product with damage that appears more significant than a minor cosmetic variation, contact us before installation. Please include your order number and clear photos of the affected area so our team can review it.
